Contract Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Manager to manage, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors across global markets. This role ensures that all contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations, while leading various compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and possess a solid understanding of telecom infrastructure, including network agreements, interconnectivity arrangements, and commercial agreements with business clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with negotiations with clients and vendors to secure favorable terms, focusing on operational efficiency, relationship development, and cost control.
- Support resolution of contractual disputes by coordinating with legal counsel when necessary.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and manage a variety of contracts and agreements, including service-level agreements (SLAs), network agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, partner agreements and commercial client contracts.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Legal, Finance, IT, HR, and Operations, to ensure contract terms and pricing models align with business goals.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, telecom regulations, and internal policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to protect the Company’s interests.
- Manage contracts across various jurisdictions on a global basis, ensuring consistency, and compliance with local laws and telecom regulations.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records comprising contracts, amendments, and related documentation within the Company’s contract management system to support audit readiness and operational transparency (i.e. Lexion).
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement best practices for contract management, including templates, playbooks, workflows, and digital tools.
Industry Awareness:
- Stay informed on telecom industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve contract strategies and service agreements.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of telecom infrastructure, network operations, and regulatory compliance across global markets preferred.
- Experience in negotiations, document review and redlining, and equipped with strong analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management process and systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex terms and negotiating effectively.
- Understanding commercial or legal implications of negotiated language.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently and collaboratively while managing multiple contracts and priorities.
- Must possess a strong ability to proofread and to deliver accurate and clean work.
- Must be able to prioritize and collaborate with internal legal team on complex projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of contract management experience in the tech or telecommunications industry preferred.
- JD degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) are a plus.
