SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - IT & TELECOM

Advantage Communication Group, a leading technology sourcing advisor for business customers worldwide, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to track, coordinate, escalate and report on the installation of complex voice, data and cloud network services.

OPPORTUNITY:

The Project Manager will liaise with our Enterprise customers and services providers. The individual will be responsible for managing complex, multi-phase, multi-carrier, multi-technology projects. Our customers are transforming their data and voice networks, adding security and moving to cloud services. You will make those transitions as seamless as possible!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIEs:

  • Work in partnership with Sales to ensure a smooth transition to the implementation phase of the engagement.

  • Conduct welcome calls with customers to outline key milestones, review products/services, assess project requirements and special needs.

  • Chair structured project process meetings with formal Agendas and Minutes to formally document all aspects of the project.

  • Ensure Sales is aware of any escalations or issues with the project.

  • Communicate with customer’s senior level management project status, conflicts and other implementation constraints.

  • Interface directly with service provider provisioning teams to ensure delivery of services.

  • Manage service provider delivery intervals, processes & escalate accordingly.

  • Interface directly with customers and service providers on routine status calls.

  • Maintain and continually update your order management and service provider records in our proprietary CRM (Command Center)

  • Simultaneously manage multiple project installations.

  • Introduce and onboard our customers to Command Center.

  • Deliver a superior implementation experience for our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experienced project manager (5+ years)

  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Telecom industry experience– data, voice, cloud, international and expense management

  • Previous experience working with CLECs, agents, carriers, MSPs required

  • High degree of initiative

  • Ability to self-manage with minimal supervision

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders

  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership

  • Experience with process improvement initiatives, a plus
