MANAGER, QUOTE & ORDER DESK
Advantage Communication Group, a leading technology sourcing advisor for business customers worldwide, is looking for an experienced manager of a Quote and Order Desk to partner with our Sales team in our Roslyn Heights, NY office or East Windsor, NJ office.
The Manager of the Quote and Order Desk is a newly created position that will support the development and management of a centralized quote and order desk. The individual and their team will secure price quotes from service providers on behalf of the Advantage Sales team, place orders with the service providers and place the orders in Advantage’s customer relationship management tool, Command Center in an expedient and high-quality manner. Command Center is also the repository for a customer’s inventory. A laser focus on order quality and accuracy is critical. The Manager will support the development of a service provider database, which will house service provider products/service offers, prices derived from quotes and services levels etc.
Work in conjunction with Sales, Finance and Service Delivery to develop and document all relevant processes related to the quote to order process.
Consistently identify efficiencies and work cross functionally and collaboratively to implement.
Contribute to the development of all relevant sales enablement programs related to quote to order.
Maintain existing Command Center product catalog and develop new entries as technologies evolve.
Assist finance with the implementation and administration of all required financial and operational controls (external and internal).
Support the development, improvement, measurement and maintenance of internal sales processes, policies, systems and operating procedures as it relates to service order transactions.
Develop in-depth understanding of Advantage’s sales and business roles, and their interactions and dependencies.
Lead and manage a Quote and Order Desk team that will provide a high-level of service to our internal Account Executives.
Manage end-to-end business processes and operations for the quote to cash process.
Build and manage a team that will collaborate with the sales team to structure and build the Service Provide Database within Command Center.
Experience in multi carrier global telecommunications ordering, quoting and inventory management.
Deep understanding of service provider inventory from provisioning through to invoicing.
Proficient with the telecommunications service provider portals.
Previous exposure to contracts and coordination of contract term changes.
A resourceful, self-directed quick learner.
Exceptional organizational skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a constantly changing environment.
Collaborative and effective interpersonal skills, easily able to develop strong working relationships.
Experience developing and managing teams.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is desired.
Experience working in a high-growth environment is ideal.
Experience working in a collaborative environment that partners with sales to optimize company success.
7+ years of telecommunications industry experience with specific experience in quoting, ordering and inventory management.
