HR GENERALIST

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist/Recruiter will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department with a strong focus on recruiting and supporting the implementation and administration of HR policies, programs, procedures, and systems. This position will support vMOX and ACG and contribute to its rapid growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring qualified job applicants for open positions in the applicant tracking system. Stay active with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent and plan, create and release job descriptions and announcements.
•  Collaborate and foster a positive working relationship with department managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings; continue to develop an understanding of department hiring needs.
•  Grow and foster relationships with schools/institutions to develop a talent pool to pull from.
•  Actively communicate recruiting status updates to candidates, hiring managers, and leadership as required per company hiring policy.
•  Conduct or acquire background checks, reference checks, and employment eligibility verifications.
•  Conduct I-9 audits to ensure compliance.
•  Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.
•  Maintain data integrity of employee records in the HRIS system, as well as upkeep of employee personnel files in accordance with all federal and state regulations.

•  Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

•  Complete verifications of employment.
•  Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
•  Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
•  Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
•  Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
•  Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience creating technical content aimed at internal and external users of Web-based SAAS application. 
  • Experience with Business Process Mapping Notation or similar frameworks for documenting business processes 
  • IT and or telecommunications experience a plus 
  • Experience producing documentation in an Agile environment. 
  • Experience developing or defining a style guide, which is also listed above under responsibilities. 
  • Extensive experience with documentation tools, including:
    • Microsoft Office suite including Visio 
    • Adobe Technical Communications Suite (Framemaker and Robohelp) 
  • Experience with SharePoint content management using Wiki, Document libraries, and metadata management.

QUALIFICATIONS

•   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or requisite work experience.
•  Minimum of five years in human resources with experience screening resumes and prospects, qualifying, interviewing, and managing candidates throughout the interview process.
•  Minimum of three years of IT or Technology recruiting experience preferred.
•  HR certification a plus
•  Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
•  Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
•  Demonstrated time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
•  Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
•  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•  Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
•  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
